Monday Night Lock (NFL Week 8)
Giants @ Chiefs (-10.5), O/U 52
What looked like a dud of a Monday Night game at the schedule release is all of a sudden one filled with a ton of intrigue. The Giants sitting at 2–5 can somehow find their way into real, genuine playoff contention with a win against the disappointing Chiefs, who need a win themselves to stay attached in the deep, albeit mediocre, AFC.
I’m torn here. The Giants are coming off of an impressive win and the Chiefs are coming off of a(nother) horrible loss. That makes me want to take the reverse, which would mean the Chiefs. But I truly think the Chiefs have problems, mostly on defense, but also on offense. They don’t run the ball. They turn the ball over. And outside of Hill and Kelce, they don’t have many weapons. And the Giants showed last week they’re going to play tough, which is what they did all of last year.
Everything inside of me is saying take the Giants with the points here. So, naturally, I’ll lay the points with the Chiefs.
