Monday Night Lock: Week 5

Look, the Raiders are not good. Among the many disappointing teams and starts to this season, they are near the top. I had this team making the playoffs and competing for the division. They look nowhere close to either of those. And the Chiefs are amazing. I was dead wrong about the impact that losing Tyreek Hill would have on this team. The Andy Reid — Patrick Mahomes combo is too good, both on the field and in commercials (shoutout to State Farm).
All of that said, this is the perfect scheduling scenario for the Raiders to keep this game close. The Chiefs had a huge game last Sunday Night in Tampa Bay. That was a big statement opportunity for them and they capitalized. Next week, they have the consensus game of the year in their rematch against the Bills. Everyone has been talking about that game since the schedule was released. Sandwiched in between those two electric games is a division matchup against a Raiders team that has certainly been a disappointment, but isn’t that far off from a talent-perspective.
I’ve gone back and forth on this one, but I’m landing on taking the Raiders with the points. I’ll grab the under as well.
