THE Saturday Lock! (NFL Week 15)
Patriots @ Colts (-2.5), O/U 45
Here it is. The game that could once and for all bury my take that the Patriots aren’t as good as the rest of the world thinks they are. To be clear: I am NOT a Patriots hater. I actually love what they’re doing. They’re showing the NFL and its fans that you don’t need to have a ton of flash to be successful in this league. To win games, you need good coaching, great offensive line play, and a great defense, along with a QB who won’t lose the game for you. That’s what they’ve done all year.
That being said, to win it all I believe you do need a QB who can win a game if need be. I’m not saying Mac Jones can’t do that, I just haven’t seen it. This game should give him that opportunity. A win here and they’ll leave no doubt that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
All that said, I’ll be taking the Colts. Both of these teams have been on a roll lately. I expect this to be an incredibly competitive game. I’m very curious to see if Belichick will be able to limit Jonathan Taylor. I’m more curious to see Mac air it out since I think the Colts defense will be able to contain the Patriots run game. This is an awesome game for a Saturday Night. I’m laying the points with the Colts.
