Giants @ 49ers (-10.5), O/U 43.5

This game could be a stinker. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. At full health, the Giants are significantly outmatched here. And they’re not close to full health. No Andrew Thomas will impact this game more than no Saquon as they likely wouldn’t have been able to run much anyway. But no Saquon definitely hurts too, primarily in the passing game. If we as football fans want to hold onto any kind of hope for this to be a competitive game, let’s hope the Giants really did make a fundamental switch at halftime last week that caused them to win that game and that whatever that switch was carries over into this week.

The 49ers are, without question, a top 3 football team this year. They have no weaknesses. There’s really not much more analysis needed aside from the impact that no Brandon Aiyuk might have on this team. But they have so many guys and a system that’s kind of plug and play. They’re loaded.

All that said, the picks here are the Giants with the points and the over. Why? Simple. Both of these picks make no sense. These are the picks you make, you hate, you feel awful about all day and all night, and then you celebrate when the game clock hits 0:00 and you cash in. Giants with the points and the over. Lock it in.

Picks: Giants +10.5 (Padlock), OVER 43.5 (Padlock)
