Thursday Night Lock: 2023 Week 7
Jaguars @ Saints (-1.5), O/U 40.5
Pretty solid Thursday Night game here. The red hot Jaguars face off against the Saints who are looking to get back on track after a tough loss last week. The Jaguars won both of their London games and then proceeded to squash any worries of jetlag or anything as they demolished the Colts last week without a bye in between. That was very impressive to me. The health of Trevor Lawrence is in question a bit here, and if he’s out, obviously that changes things. This is a solid team on both sides of the ball, but primarily on offense. They’ve got weapons.
The Saints are a .500 football team right now coming off of a loss. They have a solid defense, solid weapons, and a steady veteran QB. But their offense has struggled a bit, in large part due to the QB play. They rely on their defense though, which should try to get after Trevor Lawrence if his mobility is limited.
I’m going Saints here. Short week, at home, giving less than a field goal. But also one team off of 3 straight wins and one team off of a loss. All signs point towards a Saints victory here, so I’ll lay the number and take the under.
