Falcons (-2.5) @ Panthers, O/U 42.5

A bad team playing a bad team equals a quality primetime football game. That’s just basic math. If it feels like these teams just played it’s because they did just two weeks ago in a thrilled of a game that wound up 37–34 in favor of the Falcons in overtime, after an absolutely wild finish in regulation.

The Falcons still have a lot to play for as a win here puts them a half game up atop the NFC South. That doesn’t change the fact that they stink, but they’ve shown some flashes of quality play this season. The Panthers had a two game stretch fresh off of trading CMC where they looked like they might actually be competitive, but that proved to be fool’s gold after last week’s embarrassment in Cincy. This team will be picking in the top 3.

I’ll lay the points with the Falcons at 2.5. I’d be hesitant if this number get to 3, but at 2.5 I feel pretty good about it. And I’ll take the over as well. These teams played very little defense the last time they played and this number is very low.

Picks: Falcons -2.5 (Deadbolt), OVER 42.5 (Padlock)
