Thursday Night Lock: Week 11
Titans @ Packers (-3.5), O/U 41
Interesting Thursday Night game we’ve got on tap here. The Titans are running away with the awful AFC South, right? Not so fast. A loss here drops the Titans to just a game and a half above the Colts. And the Packers season is over, right? Incorrect again. A win here would be back to back wins against quality teams and get them right in the thick of the Wild Card race. This game is important.
This seems to be a battle of strength on strength, at least when it comes to the Packers offense and the Titans defense. The Titans are dominant against the run and awful against the pass. The Packers had success last week in large part due to their commitment to the ground game and their two-headed monster of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. But they’ve yet to find consistent success through the air. How well the Packers can establish the run against this Titans front will play a large part in how this game turns out.
This line has moved from under a field goal to over a field goal, and that has made all the difference with my pick. I expect this game to be very close and low scoring with the clock moving a lot from both offenses committing to the run. Because of that, I’ll take the points with the Titans and the under.
